The company’s entry into Vietnam is part of an overall plan to push franchise development in international markets, including Asia. CKE has units in China, Singapore, Malaysia and American Samoa. The company, recently purchased by a private equity firm, plans to enter Indonesia later this year.
CKE has 342 international franchise restaurants that operate under the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s brands. The company plans to double its worldwide presence within the next five years.
