Political insiders in the U.S. stayed up late last night to discuss this alarming development. Almost all analists concluded that this means the end of the political career of Barack Obama. The general opinion was that ‘Obama just made himself a one term president’.
Terrorism experts warned that America should be prepared for a new wave of hostage taking by Al Qaeda and other muslim radicals now that they know that President Obama is prepared to negociate with hostage takers.

Hatsuke Miku bestaat namelijk niet echt. Ze is virtueel, een 3D-projectie. Het Japanse Vocaloid bedrijf heeft de ideale business gevonden. De artiest kost niets, de liedjes kosten niets en het publiek betaalt grif. Er moet alleen worden geinvesteerd in een holografische representatie op het toneel.
De eerste beelden uit Myanmar komen binnen van mensen die toestromen om een glimp op te vangen van hun geliefde oppositieleider Aung San Suu Kyi die dit weekeinde is vrijgelaten. Direct wordt duidelijk dat Suu Kyi als ze wil miljoenen mensen op de been kan krijgen. Het is de vraag hoe lang de militaire junta met die gedachte kan leven.
Niet lang, is de verwachting bij de Thaise website Irrawaddy, gerund door vluchtelingen uit Myanmar. Zij achten de kans groot dat er snel iets gebeurt. Bijvoorbeeld dat Suu Kyi wordt aangevallen door bandieten die de junta steunen. Dat gebeurde eerder, Suu Kyi kreeg de schuld en werd weer opgesloten.

Bangkok, Irrawaddy - Suu Kyi, the daughter of Burma’s independence hero Aung San, has been granted freedom twice before since her first imprisonment in her ancestral home in July 1989. The freedoms granted to her by the military leaders of Burma, or Myanmar, were never permanent.
Thus, this early, as Suu Kyi takes her first tentative steps as a free Burmese citizen after spending 15 of the past 21 years as a prisoner in her home, concern is already being expressed about whether her freedom will be short- lived.
