Ik werk sinds kort in een bejaardentehuis. Zo kort, dat ik nog niet alle patienten en hun familie bij naam ken. Vandaag kwam een jonge vrouw op me af.

Dus dat is jaarlijks nog eens 6000 x 370 = 2.220.000, oftewel 2,22 miljoen euro. Nu heeft JdeW de overhead nog niet berekend, want er gaan natuurlijk wel wagonladingen bananen en pinda’s doorheen. Maar Van Veen kan er van leven, daar hoeft u niet aan te twijfelen.

Louis Andriessen - zeventig jaar geworden - zal de geschiedenis in gaan als de eerste persoon die ooit een spijkerbroek droeg in Nederland. In de jaren vijftig werd de broek door zijn broer meegenomen uit de States. Diverse musea in Nederland zijn met Andriessen in onderhandeling om de broek te mogen exposeren.

Hoewel de er in de Verenigde Staten een duidelijke meerderheid is voor hervorming van het gezondheidsstelsel is het nog de vraag of een drastische hervorming het zal halen. Dat komt door de Hollandse vrijbuiters. Filibuster heet dat tegenwoordig in Washington. In het Amerikaanse Huis is het afgeschaft maar in de Senaat bestaat het nog. Iedere dag gaan er mensen dood in Nederland. In totaal circa 140.000 mensen per jaar. Zeg maar zo’n 400 per dag. Soms is het verwacht soms niet. Het kunnen kinderen zijn -meestal aandoeningen van het hartvaatstelsel - baby’s zelfs.
Er worden ook mensen gevaccineerd in Nederland. Tegen kinderziekten, tegen baarmoederhalskanker, tegen griep… Als er per dag 400 mensen sterven, gaan er dus ook mensen dood die net gevaccineerd zijn. Dat begrijpt u. Net zoals u begrijpt dat de vaccinatie niet de oorzaak hoeft te zijn. Dat er dus geen verband hoeft te bestaan tussen de dood en de vaccinatie. U bent niet simpel.
Er zijn veel simpele mensen in Nederland. En simpele mensen houden van simpele verklaringen. Vroeger hadden we daarvoor het geloof. Maar ‘Gods wil ‘ is uit de mode. En gewoon pech hebben (aangeboren/toevallig een bacterie of virus tegengekomen) stelt de meeste mensen niet tevreden. Zie daar vaccinatie-angst.
Hele domme mensen voelen zich aangetrokken tot vaccinatie-angst. Mensen als Désirée Röver en Anneke Bleeker. Van deze vaccinatie-angst-aanjagers circuleren op het internet de meest absurde theorieën. Max Pam heeft dat voor ons uitgezocht. JdeW heeft daarvoor geen tijd, hij moet werken. Bodysnatchers uit de ruimte komen ons via de prik overnemen, een agent van Mossad heeft het vaccin gestolen en wil daarmee een biologische oorlog ontketenen tegen de islam, de prik is een poging van ‘de wetenschap’ ons op wereldschaal als proefpersonen te gebruiken. En het werkt.
Volgens het Jeugdjournaal wil 82 procent van de Nederlandse kinderen geen prik tegen de Mexicaanse griep.
Er stond enige tijd geleden een artikel in De Telegraaf waarin Désirée Röver aan het woord kwam. Het was hemeltergend, dus JdeW heeft het bewaard. Domheid is niet erg. De mensen kunnen er niets aan doen. Maar gebrek aan zelfkennis is dat wel. Want het gebrek aan zelfkennis van deze weerzinwekkende ijdeltuiten leidt tot dode mensen.
Het meest opmerkelijke aan dat artikel is overigens niet wat deze afschuwelijke vrouw beweert, maar dat ze niet compleet wordt weggehoond in de reacties op het artikel. De meerderheid lijkt het er mee eens. Het verband tussen de dood en de vaccinatie.
Een klein stukje van de misdadig onbenullige mevrouw Röver: “Baby’s die volgens artsen zijn gestorven aan wiegendood of het ’shaken baby syndrome’ zijn in werkelijkheid vaak bezweken aan de gevolgen van vaccinaties. Te checken met vitamine C- en histamineniveaus in het bloed. Met een vaccin komt er puur gif in het lichaampje. Alle vitamine C wordt verbruikt, er raken weefsels en organen beschadigd. Dat leidt tot bloedingen, gebroken botten en soms dus de dood. De officiële diagnose maakt de ouders tot daders. Onterecht.” Overigens is het niet altijd misdadige onbenulligheid die tot dit soort walgelijke uitspraken leidt, soms is het misdadige hebzucht.

‘Wow man, die kan hard lopen’, was het enige dat fotograaf Philip Riches na afloop van de foto sessie kon uitbrengen.

John Bolton, onder president Bush VN-ambassadeur, is het prototype van de neoconservatieve tough guy. Op zijn erelijst prijken: Afghanistan-oorlog, Irak-oorlog en het stopzetten van iedere onderhandeling met Noord-Korea zodat dat land nu over atoombommen beschikt. Hij vertelde gisteren dat tijdens de aanstaande processen in New York tegen verdachten van 9/11, hij en zijn gezin zich niet in New York zal laten zien. Veels te gevaarlijk.
Bommen gooien vanuit vliegtuigen hoog in de lucht op onbekende mensen met een ander kleurtje en een andere religie, dat is meer de stijl van deze held. Glenn Greenwald vestigt de aandacht op de schrijver van ‘Surrender is not an option’, een man die zelf nooit in het Amerikaanse leger heeft gediend.

TheRawStory, report Harvard Law School - The CEOs of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers, the two investment banks that collapsed during last year’s financial meltdown, walked away with hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation even as the company’s shareholders lost everything, says a new report from Harvard Law School.
The top five executives at Bear Stearns made a total of $1.4 billion from bonuses and equity sales between 2000 and 2008, while the top five executives at Lehman Brothers made around $1 billion during that same period — the period during which the companies ran up the bad investments that would see them collapse in 2008, according to “The Wages of Failure” (PDF), a report from Harvard Law School’s Program on Corporate Governance.
“The people who invested in these companies should feel betrayed,” Nell Minow, a compensation expert at the Corporate Library, told NBC’s Lisa Myers. “The whole idea of capitalism is that the people provide the capital and the executives take care of it for us.
