Good reports speaking to two people with complaints about the game. Of one complainant, he said, “She said she was offended by it. I said if you are, you might want to be. But you’re interpreting it as being Obama. We’re not interpreting it as Obama.”
C’mon, it’s not the president of the United States at all! Who would be so crazy to associate the presidential seal with, you know, the president? I always carry a copy of the new health bill while people shoot at me. Don’t you? How could you ever mistake a well-dresses black man wearing the presidential seal holding a signature health care bill for President Obama? What, are you nuts?
Conservative America can be very funny. Look at this carnival game which involves throwing beanbags at the likes of Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and other enemies of the United States… … like President Obama and Nancy Pelosi. See how Islamic terrorist Osama bin Laden is situated right next to Barack Obama.
This is a very illuminating example of American politics. This Republican turned teabagger is basically campaigning against his own ideas. So he’s blaming the Democrats for policies he helped implement.
And of course, to be voted in as a teabagger, he has to leave out a past of seventeen years in American politics. Seventeen years!

AMSTERDAM - Beau van Erven Dorens heeft zijn rib gebroken tijdens de Canal Parade. Beau, die helemaal los ging, klauterde over de boten maar redde het niet en viel. Ondanks de pijn feestte de presentator vrolijk verder, meldt Shownieuws.
“Ik voel mijn ribben langs elkaar gaan. Auw. Ik heb echt pijn aan mijn ribben, maar ik ga gewoon verder”, zegt de dappere Beau. Uiteindelijk ging Beau toch naar het ziekenhuis en uit onderzoek bleek dat hij zijn rib heeft gebroken.
Diverse getuigene beweerde dat de sitebeheerder Jan de W van drasties.com daar achterzat, maar de politie kon hier verder niets mee aangezien de meeste in een gemoedstoestand waren die omschreven werd als ladderzat.
Jan wenste inhoudelijk niet op het incident in te gaan en wuifde het weg.
Wat vindt de redactie van het toonaangevende Arab News van het feit dat Geert Wilders waarschijnlijk betrokken wordt bij de nieuwe regering in Nederland?
Verontrustend en beangstigend! Overigens wordt in het stuk geen enkel dreigement geuit ten opzichte van het Westen in het algemeen en Nederland of Geert Wilders in het bijzonder. Dat vinden wij geweldig en dat mag ook wel eens gezegd worden. Toch?
Arab News vraagt zich af hoe lang het gaat duren voordat er anti-Islam wetten gaan verschijnen? Zoals een verbod van de burka. De hoofddoek? De Koran?
En dat is allemaal niet nodig, meent Arab News. Volgens de schrijver laat Europa zich opfokken door de complotten van een miniscuul aantal vervreemde jonge lokale moslims.
Verder speelt een algehele teleurstelling met het leven in Europa een rol. Teleurstelling die wordt afgereageerd op moslims. En waarom worden deze vragen NIET gesteld in Europa? Vraagt Arab News zich af. ‘These are questions not yet being asked in Europe’. Dus stelletje luiwammesen stel die vragen eens.
JdeW heeft de schrijver gevraagd of hij denkt dat de leegte en teleurstelling in het leven hier misschien komt doordat Europeanen niet langer leven volgens de regels van God? Zodat we weten wat ons te doen staat. Nog geen antwoord gekregen.

The Netherlands is in a similar situation. It is two months since the Dutch went to the polls. Immediately following the election, the leader of the party winning the largest number of seats, Mark Rutte of the Liberals, was confident that he would form a coalition by the beginning of July.
The beginning of July has come and gone. So has the beginning of August and still the Netherlands is without a new government — and it looks as if it is going to be at least the beginning of September before an announcement. Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of US forces in Iraq, said this weekend that Iraq’s army is ready to take over all operations in the country.
“We do believe they are ready to assume full operations in Iraq,” Odierno told ABC’s Christiane Amanpour Sunday.
“This is something we’ve been working for a very long time with the Iraqi security forces. For the last 20 months, we’ve been slowly and deliberately turning over more and more responsibility to them and they have stepped up. They continue to do broad scope operations across all of Iraq,” said the general.
Odierno said it wasn’t the security profile that gave him the most concern ahead of the August 31 deadline. “There will be people who attempt to take advantage of the opportunity of the attention being brought upon the August 31 date. And so there will be groups who try to take advantage of that and show weakness on the government of Iraq and create some sort of lack of confidence of the people in the process as we move forward,” he said.
NY Times editorial - Political forecasters have warned for months that the widespread anti-Democratic sentiment in the nation could well coalesce into a Republican wave that approaches that party’s gains in 1994. President Obama’s independents have deserted him, the business and Tea Party wings of the Republican Party are alight with fervor and cash, and even season-ticket Democrats are searching for their old enthusiasm.
In part, that is because the significant accomplishments of the last two years — health care reform, the stimulus package, the resuscitation of the auto industry, financial reform — were savagely attacked by the right and aggressively misrepresented as the hoof beats of totalitarianism. Most of those efforts were actually highly diluted to draw centrist support, but they did not really get much of it, and the compromises meant that the bills were defended only halfheartedly by Democrats who should have stood up more firmly to the rage.
Put most broadly, the Democrats have been failing to delineate the differences between themselves and Republicans, to remind voters what Republicans would do if returned to power and how little their policies have changed from those during the two terms of President George W. Bush.
