The surge of Republican presidential contender Rick Santorum just goes on and on. Since his three primary victories on Tuesday, rightwing Republicans finally seem to have decided on the Not Romney. In PPP's newest national poll Rick Santorum is at 38% to 23% for Mitt Romney. Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul are out with 17% and 13%.
There's one reason why Santorum is soaring: almost no one hates him. Something that can't be said of the competition.

The party maybe but do republicans know?
By r.u.serius on 12/02/2012 - 8:25The outlook of the november elections has changed dramatically in 10 days.
Romney’s weakness is now more evident than ever. And the economic growth has transformed how tough Obama looks.
It is hard to underestimate how much the look of 2012 has changed.

We may be witnessing the death throes of cultural conservatism in this country. If Santorum wins the nomination and is destroyed in the general, the social conservatives are headed to the wilderness.
By drizzle on 12/02/2012 - 9:02As he did with Gingrich Romney can defeat Santorum by going negative.
But Santorum supporters will be angry and disillusioned with him.
