Newt Gingrich promises to create jobs on the moon

Republican contender for the presidential nomination Newt Gingrich yesterday promised to create jobs on the moon. Gingrich made the bold pledge in Florida, where the next Republican primary will be held, that as presoident he will establish a permanent American base on the moon. And he knows when: by the end of his second term. He also promised to get a man to Mars in a "remarkably short time.”

President Obama ended the program for the creation of a lunar colony after NASA said it didn’t have the budget to get there.

Gingrich, who once compared himself to Abraham Lincoln, the Wright Brothers and John F. Kennedy, has promised that as president he would not only change America but the whole world. But apparently he doesn't plan to stop there.
Another example of how grandiose a Gingrich presidency would be, was his idea to make driving n the night more safe by putting a "mirror system in space that could provide the light equivalent of many full moons”
