As an ice age crept upon them thousands of years ago, Neanderthals and modern human ancestors expanded their territory ranges across Asia and Europe to adapt to the changing environment. In the process, they encountered each other.

Although many anthropologists believe that modern humans ancestors "wiped out" Neanderthals, it's more likely that Neanderthals were integrated into the human gene pool thousands of years ago during the Upper Pleistocene era as cultural and climatic forces brought the two groups together, said Arizona State University Professor C. Michael Barton of the Center for Social Dynamics and Complexity and School of Human Evolution and Social Change.

"The traditional story in textbooks doesn't fit well with what we know about hunter-gatherers. For the most part, they don't like to go far from home. It's dangerous," Barton said.

The Business Committee of the Parliament of Uganda will discuss an earlier proposed Anti Homosexuality bill next week. After criticism from developed countries worldwide, it was thought the bill had died in Parliament last year but apparently that's not true.
In the bill are death penalty provisions for certain homosexual activities and a requirement for Ugandans to report every gay and lesbian they know to the autorities.

Rumors have it the bill is discussed again because the Ugandan business community thinks killing gays is good for business.

De Eindhovense zanger Johan Vlemmix is met de dood bedreigd vanwege zijn carnavalskraker 'Doe de Boerka'. De video van het lied werd gepost op YouTube en daar kwamen vele zware bedreigingen binnen. De zanger heeft daarop de mogelijkheid om te reageren afgesloten.
Op drasties kan gewoon worden gereageerd op dit geweldige stukje muziek.

In Florida the police responded to a domestic disturbance call Thursday around four in the night. There a cop found a 15 year old girl who demanded to be taken away from her house and put in a local shelter because she heard her mom (35) have sex with her boyfriend.

The police had the teenager talk to the representative from a shelter and after that conversation the girl decided that she would rather stay home because “it was almost time for school anywhay.”

The girl acknowledged that apart from her mom having sex “there was no form of abuse or neglect in the house.”

What we accept from our politicians in their personal lives is inconsistent with how our own personal lives work. The contradictions reflect our difficulty in coming to terms with the great changes in sex and marriage since our parents’ and grandparents’ generations. We value marriage, but we also value the right to pursue personal happiness.

To be consistent in what we are telling candidates, we would need to either return to the lifelong-monogamy standard and reject any candidate who has ever divorced, or suspend judgment on all aspects of a candidate’s personal life. The first is what we used to do in America; the second is what the French do today.

Neither alternative is attractive. A one-divorce-and-you’re-out rule seems too restrictive today. Yet turning a blind eye to personal life may prevent us from making fully informed judgments about a candidate’s integrity.
