British lawmakers: Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch is ‘not a fit person’

This is what British lawmakers concluded in a report on Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch yesterday. The report was published yesterday and reveals what sane people all over the world have been saying for years now:

Rupert Murdoch is “not a fit person” to run News Corp. or any other major international company.

Glenn Beck’s Lord works in mysterious ways

Fox News hates Jesus and that's why Glenn Beck got fired ... left the news network that wasn't rightwing enough for Glenn - 'Obama has a deep seated hatred for white people' - Beck.
Apparently, the Lord spoke to Beck that he had to leave Fox News by sending Fox-boss Ailes into his office and fire his crazy ass.
Indeed, the Lord works in mysterious ways.

Glenn Beck walked up to a floor-to-ceiling window in his New York apartment and asked his wife, “How could this possibly be God’s plan?”
“As I stood there, the Lord whispered to me, ‘If you do not leave now, you will lose your soul,’” Beck said. “It was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.”

Rush Limbaugh on the sexual habits of female law school students

Rightwing bully Rush Limbaugh doesn't want you to see this video. He demanded that the video, made by the leftwing blog DailyKos, was removed from YouTube. It was pulled. You can still see the video now in numerous other places, among them here on drasties.
DailyKos has asked YouTube to restore the video.

The video is a compilation of Rush Limbaugh himself talking on his radio show about the sexual habits of female law school students. And about the sexual habits of one law student, Sandra Fluke, in particular 53 times.
Sandra Fluke is a law student who was asked to testify in Congress about birth control. She didn't testify about herself but on behalf of a friend who needed access to contraceptives for non-reproductive medical reasons.
As a result of Rush' diatribe tens of U.S. companies stopped advertising on the Rush Limbaugh Show.

This is what the great leader of the American rightwing, Rush Limbaugh, made of it: "She wants us to pay for her sex. What does that make her... .. it makes her a slut, right. a prostitute?"

DailyKos has asked YouTube to restore the video:

A closing question for Google: Want...

More complaints about News Corp. phone hacking in the U.S.

The phone hacking and corruption scandal surrouding News Corp. in England may finally have reached American shores. Fox News is likely to be implicated for the first time. Four cases of hacking are now under review in the United States. At least ten people in America have complained about being hacked by NewsCorp.

Rupert Murdoch’s employees keep getting arrested for corruption

British police arrested three more people in the ever broadening hacking scandal at the newspapers of (Fox News-owner) Rupert Murdoch.
Now the royal editor of the British tabloid The Sun and two others were detained for inappropriate payments made to police and public officials.
T  he arrests were based on information coming from inside The Sun.

Is it okay for a journalist to work for a weapons manufacturer?

Wikileaker in Chief, Julian Assange, has his own news show on RT (Russia Today, an English language tv-network, set up by Vladimir Putin eght years ago as a counterweight to American controlled news worldwide).
Glenn Greenwald describes how America reacted to the first episode of Assange's news show in which he interviews Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, a man who has not been on tv for over six years.

How does for example the New York Times, a progressive newspaper, react to the combination of the Wikileaker and a Russian-owned tv-network. Well they don't seem to like it and their basic argumenmt against it is that it's no good to work for a newsorganisation that is owned by the Russian Government.
Apparently it's okay to work for an organisation owned by one of the biggest weapons manufacturers in the world (NBC-MSNBC = GE), or by the American and British governments (BBC, Stars & Stripes, Voice of America) or by a bank or by Rupert Murdoch.
This is how Alessandra Stanley's article in the News York Times starts. But maybe it's a good idea to first remind Alessandra that, while RT probably doesn't criticise the Russian government much, RT never mindlessly spread pure government propaganda around the world to help start a war against a country that was no threat at all to America and the world,:

Young critics of Fox News compared to Stalin and Hitler

This week Fox News boss Roger Ailes gave a lecture to aspiring young journalists in America. Really... no joke. The boss of Fox News - a subsidary of News Corp. which is being investigated in England for obstruction of justice and malpractice - is lecturing journalists. And he had some 'fair and balanced' advice for the young critics in the audience.

Ailes: “What you’re really telling me is that there’s a little cable channel over here that’s driving you nuts because it won’t line up with your worldview.
Remember, the last time all of us got lined up together, we were lined up by two guys – Hitler and Stalin. If there’s an alternative point of view, don’t wet your pants.”

Was Ruud Gullit phone hacked by Rupert Murdoch?

The News Corp. scandal is hitting American (Fox News) shores for the first time. Three lawsuits were filed in U.S. federal courts against the mother of Fox on behalf of three alleged targets of phone hacking.

Though the victims of the hacking wre not disclosed all England thinks it's Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell, LA Galaxy footballer David Beckham and an associate of actor Jude Law.

Despite claims by Estelle Gullit-Cruijff, there is no indication that Dutch LA Galaxy coach Ruud Gullit's phone was hacked by News Corp.

Florida governor Rick Scott (R) is a fraud

Republican governor Rick Scott is doing great work for Florida, according to a headline in the Miami Herald. Governor Scott even posted it on Facebook page.

He's getting Floridians back to work... ... or is he?

The Miami Herald:
The posting of a fraudulent front page of The Miami Herald is unacceptable. Not only is it a fraud on the public, but it is trademark infringement for use of our masthead in a fake edition.

Apparently governor Scott had replaced this headline (“Murders highlight rise in crime in Guatemala”).
A Republican spokesman blamed "overzealous use of graphics" for the ad.

Sarah Palin doing speeches while pretending to be vice president

Glenn Beck has always insisted he is NOT crazy!. After he was fired from the Fox Network for being to extreme, he has been around somewhere. Mostly counting the money he made from letting the fraudulent company Goldline advertise on his show that the financial system was going to collapse any minute now, so buy gold.

But now Glenn Beck will prove once and for all that he is a sane person. He will show his true Beck on the obcure network GBTV where he will air speeches from an 'exact replica of the Oval Office' while pretending to be 'Ronald Reagan'.

Hi there Beck-man, wouldn't it be a great idea to ask Sarah Palin to do speeches while pretending to be vice-president?
And maybe Rush Limbaugh can pretend to be your Secretary of State.

Fox reporting on the rule of law in America

Fox News Orlando (WOFL) has been reporting on the killing of 17-year old black boy Trayvon Martin by white vigilante George Zimmerman in Sanford. Yesterday they had a report on the Neo-Nazi group, National Socialist Movement. This group frequently conducts armed patrols in the streets of Sanford, Florida.

In a report of the group the Fox reporter introduced the Neo-Nazi's as a 'civil rights group'. She even interviewed the leader of this 'civil right's group' about his mission of protecting law abiding citizens of Florida. Never did the Fox reporter disclose any of this information:

The group openly idolizes Adolf Hitler, described by the National Socialist Movement as, “Our Fuhrer, the beloved Holy Father of our age … a visionary in every respect.” The group wants only heterosexual “pure-blood whites” to be allowed U.S. citizenship and that all nonwhites should be deported, regardless of legal status.

Is life an IQ-test?

John Derbyshire is a rightwing writer for the neocon magazine National Review. And since he wrote this piece, he's not anymore... a writer for the Review that is. He's fired for writing a racist article. With information like this:

Do not settle in a district or municipality run by black politicians.

He's probably referring to Desi Bouterse here. And this

The least intelligent ten percent of whites have IQs below 81; forty percent of blacks have IQs that low. Only one black in six is more intelligent than the average white; five whites out of six are more intelligent than the average black. These differences show in every test of general cognitive ability that anyone, of any race or nationality, has yet been able to devise. They are reflected in countless everyday situations. “Life is an IQ test.”

Best tweet of the day:
Deze week nog komt de PVV met kamervragen over de zaak Jael Jablabla. Wat weet de heer Leerdam (PvdA) wat wij niet weten? Open die beerput. (Greet Wilders)

Fox News expert on climate change

Global warming is all just a hoax to put Big Oil and Big Coal out of business. That is the official point of view of Fox News. This is what Fox Business weather expert Tracy Byrnes had to say about climate change this week:

"The temperature basically hasn't changed much since the Ice Age."

Fox News: “Hoodie as much responsible for Martin’s death as Zimmerman”

According to Fox News journalist Geraldo Rivera an unarmed 17-year old black boy looks like a criminal when he wears a hooded sweatshirt.
Indeed. Geraldo, just like a suit and glasses make you look like a journalist.

Chevy Volt weapon in the War on Terror

The Chevy Volt is an electric car that is produced by General Motors. It's green so that logically means in America that conservatives are against it. They are all for using oil and coal.
So their outlet Fox News has been demonizing the car (dangerous, expensive, ugly, it's created by Obama) from the start. And the sales of the Chevy Volt are disappointing.

The relentless rightwing campaign against the green car has been so successful that General Motors said: “We did not design the Volt to become a political punching bag and that’s what it’s become.”

But yesterday there was a remarkable interview on Fox News, normally not interested in real facts, when conservative guest Spieckerman, who 'loves Fox News', debunked all the destructive myths about the green car:

Spieckerman: They are spreading the myth that the Volt was some kind of Obama administration green energy fantasy that as you say was forced on GM during the bailout.

Wrong. It’d been in development two years before Obama was elected. And it was championed by … Bob Lutz, who is a conservative and a climate change skeptic. So you know it’s a myth.

And now there’s Hoodiegate!

Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera said that black kids who go outside wearing a hoodie are asking to get shot.

Apparently he didn't know that FoxNews.com sells hoodies with the Fox name on it as BuzzFeed found out.
After their report Fox has removed all advertisement of hoodies and sweatshirts from their online store.

En wat doet de regering?
