Most scientists think that dinosaurs became extinct because of an asteroid striking the earth some 65 million years ago, while, in fact, dinosaurs have farted themselves out of existence, British scientists have found.
The Brits calculated that giant plant eating dinosaurs produced more than half a billion ton of methane each year. That must have warmed the planet enough to make living impossible for the prehistoric animals, they write in the scientific journal Current Biology.

The scandals involving the Fox News family keep growing. It's not only phone hacking and obstructing police investigantions anymore.
Scotland Yard today has arrested five more people in the UK, among others a police officer. The latest arrests have to do with the Rupert Murdoch's tabloids paying for inside information and bribing police officers. And now Murdoch’s big UK money maker is involved, the Sun. 
Arrested are the managing editor, the deputy editor, the crime editor and the news editor. The only hope is that one of these people to safe their sorry ass is going to tell the truth about how deep the Murdoch's have been involved in criminal acts. So that arrest warrants can be served to the Murdoch Media Mafia Family.

NEW YORK, Nov. 22, 2011 - Every year, the dictionaries teams at Oxford University Press in the UK and the US put their heads together and come up with a Word (or Phrase) of the Year. This year, for the first time, both the UK and US teams have agreed on a global Word of the Year: squeezed middle.

While squeezed middle is British Labour Party leader Ed Miliband's term for those seen as bearing the brunt of government tax burdens while having the least with which to relieve it, the Word of the Year committee in the US felt it had good resonance in the US, as well. Susie Dent, spokesperson for Oxford Dictionaries, said: "The speed with which squeezed middle has taken root, and the likelihood of its endurance while anxieties deepen, made it a good global candidate for Word of the Year."

Last week Rupert Murdoch said at the House of Commons that he was shocked, appalled, and ashamed. So apparently he watches Fox News, too.

Claims by an ex-Fox News managing editor that Fox has a closely-guarded "black ops" room continue to gain publicity in light of the current scandal. He says he was one of the ones who "helped design" it: Fox News continues to say it doesn't exist, and that he's just a disgruntled ex-staffer.

Two News of the World executives disputed James Murdoch's testimony at his Tuesday appearance before a committee of Parliament. This might turn out to be quite a big deal—at issue is whether Murdoch knew of explosive evidence regarding the larger scale of company hacking operations when he was cutting a check for one of the more prominent victims:
