Grillig als zovele vrouwen
is het weer in Nederland.
De verschuiving der seizoenen
loopt gigantisch uit de hand.
‘s Zomers storm en regenbuien,
in ‘t voorjaar komt het ijs aankruien.
Gelukkig maar dat Jan z’n kaart
de stabiliteit bewaart.

According to Fox News journalist Geraldo Rivera an unarmed 17-year old black boy looks like a criminal when he wears a hooded sweatshirt.
Indeed. Geraldo, just like a suit and glasses make you look like a journalist.

Maybe all will be solved in the case of neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman (28) who shot unarmed black boy Trayvon Martin (17) in what he claimes was selfdefense. There apparently is an eyewitness.
Geoge Zimmeman was not prosecuted but was allowed to walk free after killing Trayvon Martin. 

Some totally unrelated information: George Zimmerman’s father is a retired Judge Magistrate of the Supreme Court, his mother is Court Clerk.

The eyewitness didn't see any bruises or blood on Zimmerman who “walked away from the fight apparently uninjured.” That's the second contradiction of Zimmeman’s claim that he had to fight for his life in a confrontation with Trayvon Martin who was wearing a hoodie while carrying a bag of candy.
Also surveillance footage of Zimmerman being brought in at the policestation shows no signs of Zimmerman being battered or blooded.

While a small majority of progressive Americans still think that science is a better way to understand the world than through religious documents written thousands of years ago, a majority of conservative Americans have no trust in science.

Just 35 pct of self-identified conservatives now have a “great deal of trust in science.” That is revealed in a report published in American Sociological Review. There was a 28 pct decline in trust of science among conservatives since the first survey taken in 1974. 
A big part plays the constant stream of misinformation about the science of global warming, financed by oil and coal companies and the religious revival against scientific theories like evolution.

Yesterday there was a vote in the American Senate about the subsidies and tax breaks the Federal government has been giving to struggling oil companies since the George W. Bush administration. A yes vote would have saved the U.S. about $24 billion, a big part of which would have been used to give incentives for clean energy.
